The ICCA Conference 2008, Dublin, hosted by Bar Council of Ireland.

Dear Colleague:

It gives me great pleasure to inform you that the ICCA Conference for 2008 will be held in Dublin, Ireland, on the 8th - 10th June 2008.

The Conference will coincide with a very momentous anniversary, namely, the 50th Anniversary of the signing of the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards on the 10th June 1958.

Dublin is an attractive, convenient and congenial yet dynamic city.  It is convenient to all the  major cities in Europe and has the shortest Atlantic flying time from North America. Over the past ten years Dublin has become one of the most dynamic and successful centres of economic growth in the world. That growth and prosperity, however, has not in any way detracted from Dublin's most enduring characteristic, namely, the genuine pleasure Irish people take in welcoming visitors. We believe that the ICCA 2008 Conference in Dublin will be a most successful and memorable event and we look forward to seeing you there.

Turlough O'Donnell SC
Chairman of the Bar Council of Ireland
